Divorced Fathers Network

Start a Divorced Fathers Network Group, Preamble, Closing Paragraph

Meetings are the easiest way to afford one access to on going shared parenting education. Weekly gatherings of fathers dedicated to both gaining access to their children and to maintaining their position as co-parents provide a wealth of opportunity. It is empowering to surround oneself with people who believe that children love, want and need both their parents. There are some basic requirements for a successful group or group leader:

  1. The ability to reach out, both to assist others and to receive assistance, to fathers like yourself within your own community is an opportunity that is good for all involved.

  2. A meeting place. Free is best.

  3. The understanding that strength comes from peer support and knowledge. Strive to build your group and make sure that meetings are places for learning. Nothing does more to discourage men than conversation containing a hopeless tone. The goal of every meeting is to empower fathers to remain in their children's lives.

The Divorced Fathers Network is looking for fathers who are willing to lead meetings. The first step is to answer the questions on the join us page. Preamble
The Divorced Fathers Network is a fellowship of parents who believe divorced couples should share in the parenting of their children. Each week groups of us meet, and provide both the emotional support and the training necessary to help dedicated fathers remain involved in their children’s lives. Experience has taught us that what is necessary to succeed is an unshakable commitment to one's family. Confidentiality within the group allows men the opportunity to share honestly about their feelings and struggles.

We encourage you not to face divorce alone. Join us as we work to make shared parenting the norm in our community.
Closing Paragraph:
The Divorced Fathers Network welcomes fathers and mothers who for the good of their family wish to practice shared parenting. We suggest that you strive to limit the impact of divorce on yourself, and your children. Learn from the experiences of those in the Divorced Fathers Network and you can maintain shared parenting and enable others to remain in their children’s lives.
